Client: Hong Kong Tramways | Finish Date: August, 2020 - Now
I created ‘Ding Ding Cat’ as the first-ever ambassador of the Hong Kong Tramways,
a traditional transportation for over 117-years of history in Hong Kong.
‘Ding Ding Cat’ is nowadays a mascot of the Hong Kong Tramways, he has been
featured in various promotional mediums, including Tram notices, Tram bodies, Tram
stations, Social Media posts as well as corporate products.

Draft & Concept Development
I am responsible for developing the mascot from concept to final design.
‘Ding Ding Cat’ is inspired by the community cats who live in the Tram depot. We created a story behind this mascot: The cat came from France (since HK Tramways belongs to a France company) and he loves the double decker trams so much that he begs for a job directly to the CEO of the HK Tramways and finally become the ambassador of this world-known transportation.
The yellow bell on the cat is inspired from the ‘Ding-Ding’ sound and of Tram and to create a strong connection with the company.
